Our Story

Our Story

Kelsey and Mike met each other in May 2022 thanks to a pink jacket, an eye freckle, and Mike’s commitment to teasing. Kelsey thought he was witty and instantly knew she liked being around him—he hasn’t stopped teasing her since. They have spent the last four years laughing and building a life together.

A life rooted in adventure, laughter, and balance. Mike’s calm presence, thoughtful steadiness, and sharp wit complement Kelsey’s joyful energy, creativity, and curiosity. He grounds her, while her love of learning and laughter brings out his playful, adventurous side, building a partnership full of joy, balance, and deep support for one another. Together, they love traveling, are fiercely competitive (and unapologetically intense) World Cup soccer fans, devoted concert-goers—and yes, Kelsey has enthusiastically introduced Mike to more musicals than he ever knew existed.

They’re happiest near the water and the mountains. Hills Beach and Kennebunkport, Maine hold a special place in their hearts, Lake Winnipesaukee feels like home, and the White Mountains inspired them to put down roots in New Hampshire. In 2024, they bought a house in Bedford, NH and have been renovating it ever since—which mostly means Mike and his dad handle the construction, while Kelsey plans, organizes, and decorates every detail. Together, they’ve turned a house into a home—shared with their “pet,” a slightly lame wild turkey affectionately named Joey, who has made himself far too comfortable in their yard.

At their core, Kelsey and Mike are adventure people—the kind who wander new cities just to see where the streets lead, try new foods, and inevitably talk about the history of wherever they are. Kelsey’s love of history turns every trip into a mini walking tour, while Mike happily follows along, fueled by coffee and enjoying the ride. Whether things go perfectly to plan or completely off the rails, they’re always laughing together.

Their favorite adventure of all is how they got engaged. Mike took Kelsey to the Von Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont, surrounded by snow straight out of a Hallmark movie. They hiked up to a small stone chapel built by Werner Von Trapp after World War II as a thank-you for surviving—a place filled with gratitude, history, and a little Sound of Music. Inside that quiet chapel, Mike got down on one knee, and everything they love—adventure, history, music, and purpose—came together in one unforgettable moment.

They’ve built a joyful life and a loving home together and are so excited for their future together. Thank you all for being part of their story—they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with you.
